Open Heart Poetry
Open Heart Poetry is the first song of the album and the opening scene. Filming will take place at the Arts Mission Oak Cliff sanctuary room.
The imagery of the sanctuary and the stage reflects the spiritual tone of the album and the Spoken Word poet's relationship with the stage.
The light design will emphasize Janae while slowly bringing more light onto the orchestra as the music continues to build.
Black Woman
Black Woman is the second song on the album. For the visuals, filming will take place in a studio. The visuals will feature the interpretative dance of three black women dancers in monochromatic red outfits with additional red lighting for the light design.
Dancers will perform a piece in the space while projected images are cast over them. This is to emphasize the images often projected onto Black Women within society.

My Black Man
My Black Man is the third song on the album, inspired by Justin Ingram, fellow Spoken Word artist and husband to Janae.
The visuals show b-roll footage of Janae and Justin together in a variety of shots to showcase their love.

Filming took place at the Blackbird Loft Studios in downtown Dallas.
Jeremiah 20
Jeremiah 20 is the fourth song on the Open Heart Poetry album. The visuals play with the theme of light by incorporating elements of fire to visualize the words of the poem “fire in your bones.”

Some highlights include performances by Blue Flame Fire Dancer, Siabhan Brown contemporary praise dancer, and Justin Ingram (JTracks).

Filming took place at the Blackbird Loft Studios in downtown Dallas and Oak Cliff Arts Mission in Bishop Arts.

My Faith
My Faith is the fifth song on the album and takes listeners on a journey of wrestling with faith.

For this song, filming will take place at the Water Gardens in downtown Fort Worth.

Water can represent trials and troubles that life brings as well as renewal and purification. This goes with the themes of the song in wrestling with the good and bad.

Poetically Janae
Janae Ingram - Album Artist
Janae is a Spoken Word Artist who paints her life with poetry. She’s been writing poetry since childhood. The poetry that flowed from her with ease helped her to see her calling as an oracle at an early age. As her need to write intensified, she knew that she needed to write to share with others. She created a Facebook page for the sole purpose of sharing poetry to encourage and uplift.

She also began to frequent an open mic event that she now hosts called Life Through Art. Through networking and practicing doing live poetry in this space, she began to get invites to perform in other places as a featured artist. Many doors were opened for her to share throughout this process, and her call to write and share what God has placed in her became undeniably clear.
She released her first EP in September of 2022, titled Open Heart Poetry. The 6 poem selection is vulnerable, imaginative, and melodic, and explores topics of identity, self-worth, and mental health.

Justin (JTracks) Ingram
Album Producer
For gospel hip-hop artist, songwriter, and producer Jtracks, it was love at first sound. Raised in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Texas, he found his voice early—freestyling in classrooms and harmonizing to church hymns.
Internships with Powerhouse Records and Highland Hills Records and college studies in audio engineering shaped his path, but a divine encounter during an ASCAP event shifted his focus from fame to faith.
Now, as founder of Jtracks House, he creates music that glorifies God while mentoring emerging artists and leading arts-based workshops and other initiatives that heal and empower urban communities.
Grace Kelly
Film Producer and Director
Grace is a filmmaker from Indiana. She fell in love with the art of storytelling as a young girl and has developed a passion for the power of storytelling to break barriers and penetrate people's emotions.
As a creative, she hates being placed into a box. The statement, “a jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one” captures her as a filmmaker. She pushes herself to know about every aspect of film so that she can influence every part.
Since completing her degree in Telecommunications with an emphasis in production, she has been able to work in various parts of the film creative process, with producing, writing, and directing being her favorite aspects.

She started her production company, Kharis1060, with a focus on telling stories of women of color that explore faith, identity, and self-worth. Kharis means Grace in Greek, and 1060 connects back to her childhood home in Gary, Indiana.
One goal that she aims to accomplish through establishing Kharis is consistent collaboration with other creatives of color within the industry. She considers herself a facilitator of the creative process and wants to use her passion for creativity to help others reach their goals.
